BlockBoy V3 turns the LEGO® Game Boy™ set into a real working handheld console.

An IPS display brings the screen to life. Adjust volume and brightness with controls in the original dial positions, and watch the red battery light work like the real thing.

Link a game to a LEGO cartridge and insert it to launch your chosen title. An onboard clock keeps day/night cycles and time-based events running properly.

Play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, NES, Mega Drive, Game Gear, Doom, and more. When you are not playing, Showcase Mode cycles through your favourite game intros, with power routed discreetly from the back.

The LEGO Game Boy set, microSD card, and game files are not included.

The Story Behind BlockBoy

BlockBoy is a passion project born from a love for engineering and nostalgia. With a decade of experience in automotive electronics, I recently shifted my focus to the world of custom PCB design. When the
LEGO® Game Boy™ set
was released, I didn't see a static display piece, but the perfect challenge to bring my technical skills and nostalgia together.

What began as a personal mission to upgrade my own model evolved into a professionally developed kit for collectors. The goal was to bridge the gap between a static model and a working piece of history. Every detail has been obsessively refined: from a display that perfectly fills the window, to authentic membrane switches that replicate the original feel of the 90s.

BlockBoy is built by a maker, for makers who value technical precision, authenticity, and a clean result.
